In a thrilling contest at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on 29th April 2025, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) overcame the Delhi Capitals (DC) by 14 runs in a must-win match to stay alive in the playoff race. First Innings: KKR come out firing! KKR won the toss and chose to bat first, and managed to put a healthy total of 204/9 in 20 overs. The innings was aggressive in nature from KKR batters and  although they lost wickets consistently throughout their innings, they maintained a run-rate that kept the asking from the hosts at a huge figure, with well-timed blows from the batters setting a very difficult asking total for the hosts. RCB excelled at the Arun Jaitley Stadium when they clamoured past the Capitals wearing blue on April 27, 2025, in a back-and-forth thriller to get over the line by six wickets with nine balls remaining to record a sweet revenge on DC for their earlier loss.
